Leadership & MMOs article published in Simulation & Gaming

Saturday, April 7th, 2012

Yikes, I haven’t posted in a while!  Well… I’m enjoying tackling thorny challenges at Evolv On-Demand, I’m looking forward to SIOP 2012, and last but not least: our article in Simulation & Gaming has finally been published!  A mere 3 years after the ISAGA conference at which Ugur first presented the paper, our hard work is available for all to access at their local college library.  I hope you enjoy the read!

Post SIOP decompression

Another SIOP has come and gone.  As always, it was great to see familiar faces and actually meet some colleagues I’ve only interacted with virtually.  I attended some thought-provoking sessions and had a chance to interview for a couple of really interesting openings.  It’s invigorating to work in a field with so many exciting opportunities.  See you next year in San Diego!

Leadership in video games

My article “Leadership in Multiplayer Onling Gaming Environments” with Ugur Kaplancali and Ron Riggio has finally been accepted for publication in Simulation & Gaming.  Huzzah!  I’ll update the link when the article is actually available.  Next up in research-land will be the decisions on my SIOP poster submissions, which I should get in a week or two.

In other news, in June I accepted an internship at PepsiCo on the enterprise organization and management development team.  It’s a great team and interesting work and I’m having a blast!
