Leadership in video games

Saturday, December 4th, 2010

My article “Leadership in Multiplayer Onling Gaming Environments” with Ugur Kaplancali and Ron Riggio has finally been accepted for publication in Simulation & Gaming.  Huzzah!  I’ll update the link when the article is actually available.  Next up in research-land will be the decisions on my SIOP poster submissions, which I should get in a week or two.

In other news, in June I accepted an internship at PepsiCo on the enterprise organization and management development team.  It’s a great team and interesting work and I’m having a blast!

Online Survey & Experiment for EVE Online Players

Monday, December 29th, 2008

I just went live with a new study of teams and leadership in MMOs.  EVE Online players can take the 10 minute pretest here (there are two 5 million isk lottery prizes).  Those who wish to take part in the experimental session, a 20 minute resource gathering scenario that takes place within the game, should provide contact information in the pretest.  There’s a 50 million isk prize to the “best” team and two more 20 million isk lottery prizes for teams that complete the experimental session and posttest.  Thanks for your participation!
